How it works
A quick tour of what is inside Revision Companion and how people use it, from the first practice question to the night before the exam.
Step one
The qualification has three modules. Each one has its own questions, flashcards, guides and mock papers, laid out like the real exam.
| Module | Units | Real paper | Time | Pass mark |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| FSRE | FRE1, FRE2 | 25 standalone questions + 3 case studies of 5 linked questions (40 marks) | 60 min | 70% |
| Mortgages | MRT1 | 50 standalone questions | 60 min | 35 / 50 |
| MRT2 | 40 standalone questions | 60 min | 28 / 40 | |
| AMAK | ASEW (England & Wales), ASSC (Scotland) | 6 case studies of 10 linked questions (60 marks) | 120 min | 42 / 60 |
Formats follow the LIBF specification and specimen papers at the time of writing. Always check the current LIBF specification before you sit.
Step two
Inside each module there are six ways to study. Most people mix them over a week.
Untimed. Pick the topics you want to focus on and get feedback and an explanation after every question.
Timed. Choose topics or the whole module. Feedback is held back until the end, as in the real exam.
A full paper in the real format with the real time limit. Part of the full version.
Term on the front, definition and explanation on the back, on a five-box spaced schedule.
A one-page cheat sheet and a short lesson for each topic, ending with a quick check-yourself round.
Recent sessions, scores by topic and your weakest topics, so you know where the next hour should go.
Inside a session
Clean, focused and quick to get through. Nothing to set up and nothing in the way.
Study guides
Every topic has two short pieces, written to be read on a phone.
One page per topic.
Short steps and a recap.
Progress without pressure
Revision is a habit before it is a skill. Revision Companion keeps score in a quiet way that rewards turning up.
Comfortable to use
People study in very different ways, in very different places. Appearance and accessibility settings are built in, not bolted on.
Switch between light and dark, and make the text larger or smaller, from the settings cog on any screen.
Questions, options and flashcards can be read to you using your device’s voice, handy when you would rather listen than look.
Add Revision Companion to your home screen for one-tap access. Nothing to download from an app store.
Accounts, devices and privacy
Open it and start. Create a free account when you want your progress saved across devices.
The full version is a personal licence for up to two of your devices, used one at a time. Need another? Email and it can be arranged.
